With an emphasis on reducing litter in and around our waterways, We Clean Trails is on a mission to save wildlife from plastic debris. Founded in 2020 as a part of her Think Global Act Local project for Miss Earth USA, Marisa Butler has hosted approximately 100 cleanups around San Diego and removed over 20,000 pounds of litter nationally through local chapters. The cleanup will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 and will cover a 2.13-mile loop beginning and ending at The Society. The loop will cover both North and South sides of the San Diego River Bike Path. Guests can enjoy the views and spring weather along the route while helping to clean up one of San Diego’s main outdoor attractions - feel good while doing good! Another perk? We Clean Trails is a dog-friendly organization, so feel free to bring your furry companion while volunteering. To register for the cleanup, participants are asked to complete We Clean Trails’ waiver which can be viewed by clicking here. Starting at 8:30 a.m., all participants will receive a complimentary cup of coffee before the cleanup from Surje’s Coffee Co. located in the Felix lobby where participants are asked to meet to go over safety guidelines. Located at 310 Del Sol Dr, San Diego CA 92108, please arrive to the Felix building no later than 8:45 a.m.
