Join us for a Holiday Storytime with the San Diego Padres! As part of the San Diego Padres Foundation Holiday Giving Campaign, we are happy to announce that we will host a special Holiday Storytime for youth on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 4:30 p.m. The Holiday Storytime will feature a Padres special guest and will include holiday and baseball themed stories and crafts. The event will be held at the Denny Sanford Children's Library at San Diego's Central Library downtown. While the Padres appreciate their fans of all ages, this event is focused on providing a special holiday Storytime for San Diego's youth. Registration is required and attendance will be limited to youth ages 5-12 and their parents/caregivers. If you have any questions about this event, please call the Central Library's main number (619-236-5800) and ask to be transferred to the Children's Library Reference Desk. Serẽa Coastal Cuisine will offer an array of featured à la carte dishes for Thanksgiving dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27, including stracciatella and preserved pear salad with frisée, pumpkin spice walnuts and lemon vinaigrette, priced at $28; roasted turkey, paired with crab mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, creamy horta and turkey gravy, priced at $48; and bone-in braised short rib, served with smoked gouda polenta, beef au jus, crispy asparagus and microgreens, priced at $75. Those with a sweet tooth can cap off the meal with brown butter pecan pie, featuring an all-butter crust topped with orange whip and shaved orange zest, priced at $22.

Families and friends can gather at Lionfish Modern Coastal Cuisine, located inside Pendry San Diego, from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 and Thursday, Nov. 27 for a shareable feast. The hearty spread will feature a bucket of crispy deep-fried turkey accompanied by Boursin mashed potatoes, truffle mac and cheese and buttermilk biscuits, priced at $55 per person. Friends and family can also toast to Drinksgiving with $5 sponsored shots, available exclusively on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Families anxiously awaiting the opportunity to meet Santa, share holiday wish lists, and take coveted family photos with Old St. Nick will enjoy the experience of visiting him in his cabin in Mission Valley’s beautifully decorated Nordstrom Rack Court (across from Tender Greens) beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 28th, and continuing daily through Christmas Eve. Opportunities for professional photos with Santa will begin immediately following Santa’s arrival at the center. Professional photo packages start at $39.99. To reduce overall wait times, families are strongly encouraged to make a reservation in advance of their visit. While strongly encouraged, a reservation is not required, and walk-up visits will be accommodated on a space-available basis.
