  • The Downtown San Diego Lions Club invites San Diegans to their “ROARing Twenties” Centennial Gala Saturday, September 24 from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. The theme-driven bash is a tribute to when the Club was first chartered in 1922. It is the Downtown San Diego Lions Club’s largest fundraiser and promises to be a swinging time. This event will raise critical funds to support their Lions High School Scholarship program as well as Lions Camp Jack summer camp for at-risk San Diego youth. Grab your fedoras, spats or your nicest flapper attire and join us for this fun filled themed evening. The gala will be held at the Admiral Baker Clubhouse. Don’t worry, no prohibition at this gala, there will plenty to drink and eat without having to do a secret knock. This event includes a silent auction, full course meal, an open bar, dancing, and a fun filled swinging night! Not to be missed!
