Taught by instructor Hayley Haspel-Winick, with special guest musician and storyteller, at this December camp, children will go on explorations observing and learning about various things in nature. They will explore through sensory activities, songs, and stories while developing coordination skills. Campers will make season-themed crafts in various mediums (clay wood, and textiles). Littles learn best by doing and playing. We practice handwork and workplay. We “play” with natural objects and materials such as wood, stones, clay, felt, paper + more! Each project is planned so that children build skills while satisfying their need to explore. Projects are safe, non-toxic, earth friendly, and full of creativity. Ages 3-6 welcome!

“Flowers & Fields” is an exhibition featuring artwork by Andrew Alcasid. “Flowers & Fields”, will be on display July 3 to July 25 at the J Walcher Communications offices, located at 1940 Market St, San Diego, CA 92102. The exhibition will feature an opening event that is free and open to the public July 3, 4 to 7 p.m., with a closing event occurring July 25 from 4 -7 p.m. Art, Power, Equity – an arts-based enterprise that supports underrepresented artists and promotes equitable arts-oriented development – and long-time public relations and marketing firm, J. Walcher Communications (JWC) – have announced a “Curator-in-Residence” partnership from June through August 2021. Art, Power, Equity establishes relationships with local and regional artists and art professionals to develop projects and exhibitions that cultivate, promote, and showcase those who meet at the intersections of under-representation, economic vulnerability, and community development.
