  • This event was started by Hank Deutschendorf who started West Coast Martial Arts Academy. We are officially renaming it this year in his honor not only because he loved the event but also to bring awareness to mental health struggles. All proceeds from this event will go directly to SOSL. Dress code: Please have kids wear their costumes! ~ Event Highlights ~ Haunted House Maze~ Over 20 actors will be inside the maze to scare kids as they go through. We have created walls that create the illusion of an endless hallway with no escape. Bounce Houses ~ We will have bounce houses in the back for kids to play on who are either too afraid to enter the haunted house or just want to stick around and play Located at our martial arts school! More about SOSL: Survivors of Suicide Loss (SOSL) reaches out to and supports people who have lost a loved one to suicide. Our goal is to give survivors a place where they can comfortably express themselves, find support, comfort, resources and hope in a judgment-free environment. SOSL also focuses its efforts on promoting suicide awareness and prevention. Survivors of Suicide Loss - San Diego on Facebook / Instagram

  • San Diego Civic Dance Association’s 2023 FNOT: Fundraising Night of Theater is our BIG annual fundraising event and review/preview show of our favorite choreography from the year before and some sneak peaks at the year ahead. We need you now more than ever! Prior to the Covid pandemic, SDCDA’s hard working volunteers raised over $150,000 annually to cover program costs. Like many nonprofits, we are still in recovery mode and we need your support. In addition, a lack of payment by the ticket company we used for our 77th Annual June 2023 recital shows has impeded our ability to properly fund our program. Please note - doors close at approximately 7:50 p.m. Plan ahead for parking! For more information visit: civicdancearts.org Stay Connected on Facebook
