The fifth annual Discovery Fest is hosted by the Solana Beach School District (SBSD), in partnership with the Solana Beach Schools Foundation, and is a free, public event in which all are invited to come together to explore STREAM and Physical Education fields, themes, questions, and problems through hands-on activities, competitions, and more. With this year's theme as "Bee the Change," attendees will enjoy interactive booth activities celebrating all things bee-related, from the life cycle, hive dynamics, teamwork, and engineering. Surfing Madonna Oceans Project is pleased to present “Save the Ocean” a juried regional show about our beautiful, fragile and fascinating world. 60+ artists from across California will be selected to showcase their work on the environmental theme during the month of October 2023 with the reception on Saturday October 14, 2023. Artists and Poets will be awarded with cash prizes for their exceptional work. The show will host all mediums of wall art including: painting, fabric, collage, assemblage and photography.
