Students will create functional and nonfunctional ceramic art using a variety of techniques and their imaginations. Learn how to create with coils, slab construction and clay pinching methods. See the beauty of the final results as your pieces come out of the kiln. Students will create multiple pieces and learn how to glaze finished artwork. All materials included. Born and raised in the border towns of Tijuana and San Diego, Laura and Jackie take inspiration from the culture clash and fusion of music scenes on both sides. Jackie Mendoza is a singer and producer who makes whimsical and intimate electro pop. Laura Gonzalez is a musician and software engineer inspired by the complex layers of shoegaze and dream pop.
