The 6th Annual Afrofuturism Lounge is a social/netoworking mixer for adults after opening day of San Diego Comic-Con. Now on its sixth iteration. The Afrofuturism Lounge was initially conceived as a private after party which we were convinced to make open to the public. Art Fest is an event for all ages of children to create a special craft just in time for Mothers Day. We will provide supplies, snacks, prizes, and the opportunity to engage with other creatives in their age group. This collaboration is a fundraiser to help assist Kids Fashion Week Network nonprofit put on continuous events and to introduce parents to our event partner, My Space Learning Time. My Space and Learning Time are childhood educators that aim to offer developmentally appropriate learning tools, exploration, play, and experimentation along with age-appropriate furniture, equipment, materials, and supplies. In honor of his 2000th and 3000th hits in 1993 and 1999, two special commemorative beers featuring artwork by Ground Floor Murals will be released in 16oz 4-pack cans. There will also be other activities such as live music, DJs, raffle prizes, and live art activations from Ground Floor Murals leading up to the Padres vs Dodgers Watch Party at 5:40 PM (Drink specials available during the game to help root for the home team). Food trucks will be located onsite. This is a free event and all ages are welcome. RSVP'ing does not guarantee access to cans of the released beers. Limited amount of cases will be sold in a pre-sale to those who RSVP a week out to the event. The remaining cases will be sold onsite day of the event.
