  • Art Through The Glass is thrilled to announce the opening of "A Life in Color," an exciting new exhibition featuring over 30 talented artists from diverse backgrounds and regions. The exhibition transforms the gallery space into a vivid celebration of creativity, exploring the limitless possibilities of color, form, and expression. The opening reception will take place Sunday, March 28, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Art Through The Glass, located at 555 Broadway Avenue, Suite 1021, Chula Vista, CA 91910. Guests will have the unique opportunity to meet the artists, engage in discussions about their work, and experience the art in an immersive environment. This exhibition showcases a diverse array of artistic voices and styles, highlighting the dynamic relationship between artists and their communities. She has curated shows with leading local institutions including the Mingei International Museum, Sparks Gallery, and the San Diego International Airport, as well as alternative art spaces throughout the region. In addition to her curatorial practice, Blanca has served as a juror for both youth and adult art exhibitions at local galleries and museums, bringing a thoughtful and inclusive eye to the evaluation of diverse artistic voices. Step aboard Californian, the official tall ship of the state of California, for an unforgettable day on the water during the 38th Annual America’s Schooner Cup, hosted by Silver Gate Yacht Club. This celebrated San Diego regatta brings together schooners of many sizes and vintages for a spectacular race course designed to be enjoyed both from shore and from the bay itself. Only a limited number of guests will have the opportunity to sail aboard Californian and experience the action firsthand as the fleet races off Shelter Island on Saturday, April 18, 2026. With thousands of colorful eggs hidden across the park and activities designed for all ages, Easter at Campland offers a fun-filled spring getaway for families visiting San Diego. One of the most anticipated traditions is the Golden Egg Hunt, which takes place daily throughout the week. Guests search the park’s public areas for hidden golden eggs that can be redeemed at the recreation office for special prizes. The Golden Egg Hunt begins daily at 10:30 a.m., with a total of 21 opportunities to find a golden egg throughout the week. Search groups may include up to four people and each group may win a maximum of two times. Golden eggs will be placed only in public areas throughout the resort. Winners should bring their egg to the Recreation Office to redeem their prize. Easter Weekend festivities peak on Saturday, April 4, with Campland’s annual Egg Rush, where thousands of colorful eggs are scattered across Huff ‘n Puff Park and Central Park for children in different age groups. Families can also enjoy music, bingo, dodgeball tournaments and a family movie night.   • The City of Carlsbad’s popular EGGstravaganza Spring Festival returns. This annual spring event features Carlsbad’s largest egg hunt, an ongoing egg scramble where kids race to collect candy-filled eggs. Don't forget to bring your basket! Face-painting, crafts, cookie decorating, a fun zone, soak the bunny and more. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Activity cards and wristbands can be purchased in advance or at the event to enjoy the activities and fun zone. No registration is needed to attend this event. How the egg scramble works The egg scramble is ongoing from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or until eggs run out. To keep the scramble fun for all ages, one field will be designated for children ages 6 and over who want to race for their eggs, and an identical one will be for children ages 5 and under. There is also a noncompetitive field for young children, children with special needs, and for families wanting to pose for a photo opportunity. An activity card is required to participate in the egg scramble. To avoid lines during the event, $8 activity cards and $8 unlimited inflatables wristbands can be purchased three weeks in advance at city community centers. The cards can be divided among multiple children for all the activities; however, wristbands are per person.
