The Medium Festival of Photography runs April 1-16 in San Diego, with some events in Tijuana. Some highlights: Community Pop-Up at Bread and Salt: Revolving around the Paris Photo / Aperture PhotoBook Awards exhibition, this day-long event will also include exhibitors, photographers, a DJ set from Lola Rey and free coffee. Keynote at MCASD: At the keynote event, the featured speakers will be Judith Joy Ross and Joshua Chang, in conversation at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla. Nature Scene is a program presented on the Mandeville Art Gallery’s exterior screen featuring work by digital artists that have been commissioned or specifically adapted for the space. The works use artificial intelligence, generative algorithms, 3D scanning, and more to depict the influence of technological evolution on the staging and mediation of the natural world. It is on view daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., July 1st through October 2nd.
