Ian Cooper is Jordan Peele’s producing partner and the Creative Director of Monkeypaw. With a primary focus on the feature slate, Ian oversees the visual and conceptual underpinnings of all Monkeypaw projects from the early development stages through execution and release. In 2010, she founded Public Fiction, a forum for staging exhibitions, performances, and programs by contemporary artists and writers, as well as a journal with the same mission in print. The Adam D. Kamil Guest Lecture was established by the UC San Diego Department of Visual Arts to inspire undergraduate students and to provide insight into the career of an established artist working in media production.
