  • Welcome to Jean Isaacs, The Legacy Concert, a concert that will reflect our appetite of laughter, love and professionalism. All choreography for The Legacy Concert has been selected and choreographed by Isaacs from among 150 unique dances created over a 60 year career. Jean Isaacs has enjoyed a long rich career making dances throughout the region and beyond. Her creative energies have been widely recognized throughout the US, Mexico and Europe and she has been applauded for her work by critics and audiences alike. Performers for The Legacy Concert include many who have co-created the dances with Isaacs. Artists performing include Steve Baker, Monica Bill Barnes, Blythe Barton, Annie Boyer, Jill Breckenridge, Kate Brill, Jovani Chavez, Jessica Curiel, , Ivan Flores, Cora Fowler, Hazel Fowler, Natalia Hill, Cecily Holcombe, Liv Isaacs-Nollet, Jeremiah Jenkins, Robby Johnson, James la Rose Powell and David Wornovitzky.   • July 26–October 18, 2025 Opening Reception: Friday, July 25, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. 33rd Annual Juried Exhibition One of the most prestigious juried shows in San Diego, the Athenaeum’s 33rd Annual Juried Exhibition will be on view this summer and fall, July 26 through October 18, 2025. This year 315 artists entered about 900 works for consideration. Juror Malcolm Warner, art historian and curator, selected the final 29 artists and 29 works to exhibit. Prizewinners, including the recipient of the Leslie Von Kolb Memorial Award, will be announced at the opening reception on Friday, July 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public. When their worlds collide, the city around them comes alive—with strangers becoming friends, routines giving way to rhythm, and love finding its place on the menu. “Love on the Menu” is a joyful celebration of connection, community, and the magic that happens when we open our hearts.
