From the gallery: On the evening of November 16, Quint Gallery will host UK-based artist Eric Snell for an in-situ revival of a performance which originally took place in 1986 in which Snell draws a spiral on a wall using the smoldering ash of burning wood. For this iteration, the artist will source wood from one of the city's proliferation of eucalyptus trees, which arrived in San Diego from Australia after the gold rush of 1849. Performance: Nov. 16. Opening November 8, Quint Gallery will house a selection of significant sculpture across multiple venues: 7655 Girard Ave., 7722 Girard Ave., ONE at Laura Gambucci (window), 7655 Girard Ave., and the gallery's warehouse space at 5171 Santa Fe Avenue (Suite H).
