Visionary Dance Theatre presents "Women of My Knowing" at the Visionary Performance Space Visionary Dance Theatre brings to the stage a collection of local and international choreographers. In celebration of women, this special event brings together female choreographers with a select cast of Visionary Dance Theatre dancers. Using movement and storytelling through the eyes of women, this showcase of dance works will evoke feelings of inspiration, resilience, and compassion. Trixi Agaio, Caley Hernandez, Caryn Ipapo-Glass, Tanya Lewis, Master Teacher Khamla Somphanh, and International Choreographer Jeanne Travers present new and restructured works that will bring to light the struggles and triumphs that women in all walks of life. These works celebrate the women that we know and hold close. Guest artist Viviana Enrique Acosta (Artistic Director of Ballet Folklorica en Aztlan Dance Theatre Company) melds together the traditional Ballet Folklorico style with contemporary dance to bridge the together women from different backgrounds and traditions.
