"Uncharted Elsewhere" is a mixed-media exhibition exploring the surreal complexities of contemporary life! Through sculpture, textile, works on paper, and painting, artists reimagine landscape and form as sites of entanglement. Heroes and Monsters (Ages 6 – 7) July 7 – 11, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. What would your artful superpower be? Get ready to team up with your friends and MCASD educators in an awesome showdown for the fate of the museum–an art collision between Heroes and Monsters. Spend the week designing your own Hero and Monster inspired by the Museum's collection: Learn how to use art for good by developing your own art superpowers. Create a persona by dawning masks and capes influenced by Nick Cave. Use John Baldessari's conceptual powers to fight "Boring Art." Schedule Day 1: Start the week by imagining your superhero, or good-monster alter-ego, and its artful superpowers! Then, create your helmet. Day 2: Make your shield and cape and create dice to guide your way. The Sweetwater Woman’s Club is bringing some early holiday spirit to the South Bay—hosting its 57th Annual Holiday Craft Show. This craft show will feature nearly two dozen local artisans and small businesses selling their goods and products—ornaments and decor, jewelry, quilts, soaps, baked goods, silent auction items, and raffle dozens of gifts donated from local businesses—to fundraise for local scholarships. Each year the Club gives a scholarship to a deserving senior from each of the high schools in the Sweetwater Union High School District.

Drip stunning & bright inks onto pumpkins! You can save your pumpkins & use them for decor year after year. You will play with TONS of different ink colors... it is so much fun! This is beginner friendly and is best for adults & childen 10+ years. The workshop will last about 1.5 - 2 hours long... Casey allows everyone to go at their own pace. A casual & friendly enviroment in Casey's backyard in North Park. Please bring layers as you will be painting outside. You are welcome to bring your own beverages but please keep your snacks at home.
