Join The Beach Boys’ co-founder Al Jardine for a night of classic hits, rarities & deep cuts of The Beach Boys featuring The Pet Sounds Band at The Magnolia on Saturday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. The show will include such Beach Boys’ greatest hits as “California Girls,” “I Get Around,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Sloop John B,” “Surfin’ USA” and “Fun, Fun, Fun” that helped define the California sound. Jardine sang lead on their No. 1 hit “Help Me, Rhonda” and contributed arrangements and production on numerous tracks throughout their career. Jardine was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, One Warm Coat will lead the nation in observing National Share the Warmth Day, a dedicated national day of awareness and action to ensure everyone has access to the warmth, comfort, and protection they need to thrive. Since 1992, One Warm Coat has helped distribute nearly 9 million coats and kept 22 million pounds of textiles out of landfills. Every coat collected stays within the local community where it was given, ensuring immediate impact. Observed annually on the third Tuesday of October, National Share the Warmth Day inspires thousands of individuals, schools, community groups, and companies to donate coats, host coat drives, and make financial contributions to provide warmth to children and adults in need. The need is more urgent than ever: More than 37 million Americans currently live in poverty. Homelessness rates jumped by 18% in 2024, with more than 771,000 people in the U.S. without housing. Last year, One Warm Coat supported 4,600 coat drives, facilitating the distribution of nearly 500,000 coats nationwide, yet 60% of local nonprofit partners reported not having enough coats to meet the need. 84% of One Warm Coat’s nonprofit partners expect an increased demand for services this year. The Links at Petco Park, presented by Lexus, returns October 18 – 26! The original and best ballpark golf experience features a new 9-hole course that will celebrate Halloween as golfers are transported through a spooky Haunted Golf Trail within the ballpark. Golfers will have the unique opportunity to take shots onto the playing field from various ghastly and ghoulish tee boxes that will be stationed at signature ballpark locations such as Home Plate and the Upper Deck. In an annual effort to keep intoxicated or drugged motorists and other traffic scofflaws off local freeways and unincorporated roadways during the holiday, the CHP will conduct a 12-hour maximum enforcement period, or MEP, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Friday, during which all available officers will deploy onto freeways, highways and unincorporated roads throughout San Diego County and statewide, to nab DUI suspects and other lawbreakers.
