James Lee Stanley is an American singer, songwriter, musician, composer, and producer whose six-decade career spans numerous artistic mediums. He is the true renaissance man, born in Philadelphia, and has been recording and performing since the age of fourteen, with 37 album releases and television and film credits to his name. James Lee is an outspoken proponent of good music, good government, and generally good behavior toward our fellow earthlings. About Hugo Nogueira: Hugo Nogueira won the 2011 American Guitar Society competition in Los Angeles, California. After attending three prestigious conservatories in Brazil (and studying with one of the most renowned Brazilian guitar pedagogues, Henrique Pinto), he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Composition in 2007 and a teaching credential in 2010. Hugo continued his studies earning his Master’s Degree in Guitar Performance at Azusa Pacific University. Additionally, he has had masterclasses with world class guitarists such as Ana Vidovic, Jason Vieaux, Scott Tennant, and Marc Teicholz. Hugo has also participated at guitar festivals such as La Guitarra in San Luis Obispo, Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival, and New Mexico Guitar Festival. In 2012, Hugo Nogueira performed and gave masterclasses at Cal State San Bernardino and University of Redlands. Awarded an assistantship in the fall of 2013, Hugo began to work on his Doctorate in Classical Guitar Performance at UNLV with the internationally acclaimed concert guitarist, Ricardo Cobo. In 2014 and 2015, Hugo was invited to be part of the guitar competition committee at the Clark County School District, Las Vegas Academy of Arts, and Junior festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the last few years, Hugo has been performing in different states across the U.S such as California, Wyoming, Nevada, New Mexico, Florida, Ohio, Washington DC, and Michigan. In May 2017, Hugo Nogueira graduated with a Doctor of Musical Arts. In 2018, Dr. Nogueira was invited by the South Bay MTAC (Music Teachers' Association of California) to give a lecture-recital about the Spanish composer, Francisco Tárrega. In following years, Dr. Nogueira performed with in Panamá, Portugal, Brazil, England, USA and Norway. Dr. Nogueira is currently teaching classical guitar at Los Angeles Pierce College, Oxnard College, and Ventura College in Southern California.

From the organizers: This October, Bread & Salt, in collaboration with curator and artist Jason Sherry, presents Haunted House 3: The Castle, the third annual Halloween art event designed to challenge and engage audiences with its unique, immersive experience. Over two nights—Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26, from 5 to 9 pm—27 artists will showcase light, sound, performance, and sculptural installations inspired by Halloween folklore, art history, and medieval architecture. Set in a haunted house-style maze within the Bread & Salt galleries, the exhibition will take viewers on a journey from the eerie to the playful, with scenes and performances that evoke fear, satire, and curiosity. Highlights include installations based on La Llorona, the “War-Hall,” a pop-art interpretation of an old dark castle, and a 16mm movie theater screening classic horror films. The project will evolve throughout the night, ensuring that no two visits are the same. This event offers a rare opportunity to experience San Diego’s experimental art community as they explore the intersection of art, history, and Halloween lore. Admission is free, with donations accepted.
