  • This two-part program brings together music, poetry, and performance for an evening of boundary-crossing storytelling. In Act One, improviser Wilfrido Terrazas and poet Ronnie Yates explore the liminal space where their disciplines meet—Terrazas’s music shaped by the Mexico City poetry scene, Yates’s poetry by Houston’s improvised music world. The duo’s first-ever live collaboration promises an adventurous dialogue of words and sound. Act Two presents "The Mexican Husband" (2019) by Fabiola Carranza, a bilingual reimagining of Bertolt Brecht’s "The Jewish Wife" set in contemporary Los Angeles. The play follows a couple’s final night together before the husband flees across the border to avoid deportation—an unflinching, poetic meditation on immigration, separation, and resilience in the face of systemic injustice. • For almost monday, it all started in a San Diego surf shop. Longtime friends Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Cole Clisby (guitar) and Luke Fabry (bass) bonded over surf culture and a shared love of music. They burst onto the scene in 2020 with their breakout single "broken people," an indie-pop anthem that earned a remix by Grammy-nominated duo Sofi Tukker and climbed into the charts at Alternative Radio. It was an early glimpse into what would become their signature: infectious energy and danceable grooves. With over 650 million streams, almost monday has built a universe all their own. Their music has been featured across ESPN, CBS, Bravo, HBO Max and Netflix, to FOX, TNT and more - amplifying their reach far beyond the stage. They’ve collaborated with artists like Jordana (on the electrifying “jupiter”) worked with producers behind OneRepublic and The Killers and continue to blur the lines between alt-pop and indie rock with bold creative direction and a growing global following. From surf shops to global stages, almost monday is defining their era with style, swagger and a sound that defines the moment. Their music doesn’t just soundtrack a summer – it creates one. Like catching a perfect wave, it’s sun-soaked, uplifting, and impossible not to dance to. almost monday on Facebook / Instagram
  • In 2007, Asa Taccone chased his dream to Los Angeles when an established mentor provided a check for $10,000 so the promising ingénue producer could quit his job and pursue music full-time. He incubated this miraculous nest egg until he could subsist and survive off his own songwriting, production, and artistry as one-half of the duo Electric Guest with drummer Matthew “Cornbread” Compton. Electric Guest embrace the same energy, hunger, and mindset that first brought Asa to this point on their aptly titled fourth full-length album, "10K." “'10K' is back to the basics,” he affirms. “Nobody was in the room or on the record but friends. In a way, it feels like this is actually my first album. This is a full circle moment.” Behind-the-scenes, Asa relentlessly pushed himself as a songwriter and producer, building up a robust catalog in the process. He co-wrote and co-produced Portugal. The Man’s 7x-Platinum “Feel It Still,” earning the band a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and a GRAMMY ® Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. His repertoire also expanded with Lily-Rose Depp’s “World Class Sinner / I’m A Freak” for The Weeknd’s The Idol, Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Feels Right,” and more. He's the rare creative chameleon who can cook up “Cheat Code” for H.E.R. or hilarious viral tentpole tracks for The Lonely Island a la “Natalie’s Rap” with Academy® Award winner Natalie Portman, “Motherlover” with Justin Timberlake, “Here I Go” with Charli XCX, and “3-Way (The Golden Rule)” with Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga, among others. Simultaneously, Electric Guest racked up over half-a-billion streams across Mondo [2013], Plural [2017], and KIN [2019]. Throughout 2025, he hunkered down and poured his focus into Electric Guest. For as much as he concurrently collaborated with top-tier talent, he actually found the most inspiration much closer to home. Various friends trickled in and out of the Electric Guest sessions, and the music organically took shape primarily recorded at Asa’s home studio. Electric Guest on Facebook / Instagram
