  • Join us this Saturday, August 30, from 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.! Learn to create your own one of a kind ceramic air plant holders in this 2.5 hour workshop! There are many variations of designs for these vessels, and many options for surface design. We will explore texture using tools and objects to create unique designs and shapes that will dazzle your plants and bring the beauty to your home. Each student may create up to three holders. Your pieces will then be fired as-is (no glaze) for a natural, earthen aesthetic. If you’d like to make more than three plant holders during class and have time remaining, additional holders can be made for a $5 fee. Projects will be ready to pick up 3-4 weeks after class. No experience necessary. All materials and tools provided. Ages 12+ years or 6+ years with an adult. We recommend that each student bring an apron to wear and an older towel or a cloth rag. • Military, first responders and sibling discounts. • Scholarships available. • Homeschool funds accepted. • If this class is full, join the Interest List to be notified. • If you would like to be notified of future offerings, join the Interest List to be notified when new dates or spaces are available. Four out of five people with lupus are women, and the disease disproportionately affects women of color. In lupus, the immune system, which is designed to protect against infection, produces autoantibodies that mistake the body’s own cells as foreign, causing other immune cells to attack organs such as the kidneys, brain, heart, lungs and skin, as well as blood and joints.
