Join us this Saturday, August 30, from 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.! Learn to create your own one of a kind ceramic air plant holders in this 2.5 hour workshop! There are many variations of designs for these vessels, and many options for surface design. We will explore texture using tools and objects to create unique designs and shapes that will dazzle your plants and bring the beauty to your home. Each student may create up to three holders. Your pieces will then be fired as-is (no glaze) for a natural, earthen aesthetic. If you’d like to make more than three plant holders during class and have time remaining, additional holders can be made for a $5 fee. Projects will be ready to pick up 3-4 weeks after class. No experience necessary. All materials and tools provided. Ages 12+ years or 6+ years with an adult. The Lupus Research Alliance is hosting its annual “2025 San Diego Walk with Us to Cure Lupus” event Saturday, November 22, 2025. This in-person fundraising event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in the community who are passionate about finding a cure for this debilitating autoimmune disease. The evening will include a dog costume contest, festive treats, and photo-worthy moments, like a Halloween pup parade. It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere and every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., it’s Yappy Hour at Margaritaville Hotel San Diego’s pup-friendly rooftop oasis, 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar.
