ArtReach's Art Camp is a dynamic, creativity-filled program led by the Studio Programs Team. Designed for elementary-aged students, each camp explores a unique theme through hands-on art projects, collaborative activities, and playful learning. Campers engage in daily lessons inspired by contemporary artists, outdoor play, meditation, and an end-of-camp art show that celebrates their work. Held in our studio space, our camp fosters imagination, confidence, and connection, while promoting ArtReach’s mission to make visual arts education accessible to all youth. Our teaching staff play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment where every camper can thrive. We understand that plans can change. To best accommodate all families while ensuring we can continue to offer high-quality programming, our cancellation policy is as follows: - 30 days or more before the start date of the camp week: Eligible for a full refund minus a $40 cancellation fee *or* a full camp credit can be provided as a voucher for future classes. - Less than 30 days before the start of the camp week: No refunds or vouchers will be issued. Exceptions may be made for medical or special circumstances at the discretion of ArtReach staff. - Transfers: Camp registration may be transferred to a future scheduled day camp at any time, pending availability. Beginner workshops are perfect for you to grab your friends, grab a drink and come make tiny trees! We’re bringing the awesome art of bonsai out of the hedged in gardens and into the streets! Or at least into your favorite bars/breweries/pubs. Bonsai Bar is a night of fun you don’t want to miss. Learn the fundamental skills and techniques behind the art of bonsai while enjoying a night out with friends! Our teachers will introduce core concepts and guide your experience as you pot, prune, and design your very own bonsai tree! Our Guarantee: These tiny trees are so hardy we guarantee you can keep yours alive, or we’ll replace it. This workshop will be hosted at Societe Brewing Company. Life is in limbo for some San Diegans as they try to navigate choppy political and economic conditions. With the cost of living eating away at their pocketbooks and national news growing ever more turbulent, many are delaying big purchases and milestone dreams.

Join us this Saturday, August 30, from 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.! Learn to create your own one of a kind ceramic air plant holders in this 2.5 hour workshop! There are many variations of designs for these vessels, and many options for surface design. We will explore texture using tools and objects to create unique designs and shapes that will dazzle your plants and bring the beauty to your home. Each student may create up to three holders. Your pieces will then be fired as-is (no glaze) for a natural, earthen aesthetic. If you’d like to make more than three plant holders during class and have time remaining, additional holders can be made for a $5 fee. Projects will be ready to pick up 3-4 weeks after class. No experience necessary. All materials and tools provided. Ages 12+ years or 6+ years with an adult. The Lupus Research Alliance is hosting its annual “2025 San Diego Walk with Us to Cure Lupus” event Saturday, November 22, 2025. This in-person fundraising event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in the community who are passionate about finding a cure for this debilitating autoimmune disease.
