  • Hey there! My name is Jenna Elliot. I am a local barber/hairstylist/ and an ambassador for the non-profit organization Wigs For Kids. I am not only a hair donation specialist but I also perform a service of taking measurements of a child’s head who is missing hair due to medical issues. This year alone there is a huge increase of children in need of hair. So this November, I will be hosting 13 fundraising events spread across 4 states, with the majority taking place in California! Everything from a Pizza Project to a golf tournament to a Brews Bands and Cuts show at a local Brewery. I am hoping to get the word out to our community as for there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout this week of events. The unique part about all of this is that I am relying on the public to share and spread the word through mouth. Visit: Wigs For Kids Wigs For Kids on Instagram and Facebook

Four out of five people with lupus are women, and the disease disproportionately affects women of color. In lupus, the immune system, which is designed to protect against infection, produces autoantibodies that mistake the body’s own cells as foreign, causing other immune cells to attack organs such as the kidneys, brain, heart, lungs and skin, as well as blood and joints. • Contra is American folk dance, a living tradition in which new dances are written all the time using a standard repertoire of moves. It is similar to square dancing, but is danced in two long lines (like English country dance), so that each pair dances with each other pair in one dance. No experience is needed, because there will be a lesson at 7 p.m., and every dance is taught and then "called" throughout by the caller. We practice gender-neutral calling and dance roles. If you can walk, you can dance! Pay what you can ($5 - $20) and wear what you like, with comfortable shoes. Bring a friend or come by yourself -- you'll have a new partner for each dance.
