  • Join Mission Wildlife for an incredible evening with Save the Elephants at the San Diego Natural History Museum (The Nat) on May 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for the San Diego premiere screening of “A Life Among Elephants.” This inspiring and powerful documentary combines dramatic wildlife footage with the story of the remarkable life of Iain Douglas-Hamilton - a contemporary of Jane Goodall and Dian Fossey. During the 1970s, Douglas-Hamilton conducted pioneering research into elephant behavior and movement and through his work was the first to alert the world to the ivory poaching crisis, bringing about the first global ivory trade ban in 1989. The film follows Iain's life through the present. A Q&A will follow the screening.
