Funds raised will benefit foster children by reuniting siblings living apart in foster care, supporting foster youth in reaching their educational and career goals, providing birthday gifts, school clothes and opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, and providing an emergency shelter where children feel safe and cared for. Promises2Kids helps foster children overcome the difficulties of their past and grow to become healthy and successful adults. The free event is open to the public and brought to the community by the Encinitas Chamber in partnership with the City of Encinitas. The Senior Expo offers valuable information to those retiring soon, those that are retired and families of aging individuals, all who need a little help navigating this new life chapter. Exhibitors include healthcare providers, housing options, senior lifestyle businesses, fitness & wellness, government agencies, financial and tax services, insurance and more. Activities include opportunity drawings, refreshments and a breakfast hosted by the Encinitas Rotary’s Home Team, a free community service for seniors having a difficult time with many common household repairs. Parking and admission are complimentary, and attendees will receive a free Embracing Retirement commemorative bag.
