  • The holy grail of metaphysics is the spiritual enlightenment of the soul. This is the gradual process of evolution and maturity when the soul pierces the veil of matter and experiences God. While God dwells in all of us and is “closer than hands and feet”, the knowing of God is hidden from us until we seek out the Divine. Like the seedling buried deep in the earth is striving to break ground to the world of sunlight and the bounty of nature, our soul buried deep in material consciousness is striving to reach the sunlight of eternal truth. In the 21st century, we are at the threshold of a new era in our relationship with God. As humanity understands the workings of physical nature better than ever, this beckons us to gain a deeper, more mature understanding of God and the part the Divine plays in our life. In this illumination workshop, explore ways to deepen your relationship to the Divine—the fountainhead of creativity, intelligence, inspiration and love. Discover metaphysical tools to better align with the Creator inspiring you with a greater sense of life’s purpose and meaning. Experience auric meditations to elevate your consciousness helping to give a clearer picture of your part in the grand divine design. Workshop conducted by Award-winning Author and Spiritual Teacher Dimitri Moraitis Dimitri Moraitis is cofounder and co-spiritual director of the renowned Spiritual Arts Institute. Having trained with mystic clairvoyant Barbara Y. Martin for decades, Dimitri is an illumined metaphysical teacher, has lectured across the country, and appeared on numerous podcasts and radio shows. • Aren Skalman Community Room Artist in Residence July 31 to Aug. 20. 2023 About Aren’s Residency at Art Produce: Transforming an object’s form and function is an exercise in navigating the fluid and reciprocal boundaries between self and other. During this residency I will be revisiting my family’s history of traveling to other countries in order to pursue creative endeavors. By displaying objects and imagery, painting, sculpting, and conversing with the community, I will examine ideas around inspiration, hybridization, appropriation, and evangelism. About the Artist: Aren Skalman is an artist based in San Diego. In 2012 and 2013 he traveled to India as a Fulbright Scholar, where he constructed a rolling, musical sculpture. Aren presented a solo exhibition of sound-generating objects at the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library in winter 2016. His work has been included in group exhibitions at Bread and Salt, Space 4 Art, SDSU Downtown Gallery, San Diego Art Institute, the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, San Diego City College and Centro Estatal de las Artes, Tijuana & Ensenada. In 2017—along with other Ready Lane participants—he exhibited site-specific objects, altering the space inside a decommissioned Boeing 747 aircraft on the campus of Instituto Tecnológico de Tijuana, in collaboration with the aeronautics department. Aren is currently the Lead Exhibits Designer + Fabricator at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
