    The 2023 graduating class of the UC San Diego Visual Arts ICAM (Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts) program is proud to announce this year's Senior Exhibition. This show features works including electronic installations, virtual reality, animations, video games, coding art, projection mapping, performances, and much more. Come join us in celebrating the diverse body of work that the ICAM program has produced this year! The Senior Exhibition (VIS 160) is a two quarter-long course required by all graduating ICAM students, where students pursue projects of their own design with support from faculty in a seminar environment. Their projects are a culmination of what students have learned throughout their time in the ICAM program, utilizing the skills and technologies they have learned along the way, to make their own masterpiece. This show features works including electronic installations, virtual reality, animations, video games, coding art, projection mapping, performances, and much more.   • San Diego Mesa College Spring 2023 Student Art Exhibition
    From the gallery: Printmaking, painting, ceramics, drawings, sculptures and more! Come see what students have produced in our Studio Art classes. The Spring 2023 Student Art Exhibition was juried by Art Produce director Lynn Susholtz. During the reception light refreshments will be served and student awards will be presented. Also, during the event, check out our student art sale where one-of-a-kind art, jewelry, pottery, stickers, cards will be available for purchase. Celebrate the end of the school year with us! We'll also present large scale fabric woodcut prints that were produced by students from the Arts Club and printmaking class using a steamroller! All aspects of the exhibition were designed and executed by the San Diego Mesa College Museum Studies class under the direction of Professor Alessandra Moctezuma and Gallery Coordinator Jenny Armer. The image for the invitation was designed by Museum Studies student Caitlin Garcia. Events: Reception and student art sale: Thursday, May 4, 4-7 p.m., Art Gallery FA 103.     As a photographer in the 1960s, Major Morris (1921-2016) captured scenes of inner-city life and protest marches. After the Civil Rights era, he earned a master’s degree from Harvard University and became an educator, training teachers in diversity and cultural sensitivity and working as a university affirmative action officer.
