Working with mid fire clay, we will explore various methods of building forms and decorative techniques with glazes. Students will complete various projects throughout the course, learning the basics of clay materials and handbuilding — skills necessary to work independently in open studio. Choose from dates in October: Oct. 7, 11, 21 or 25 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. This workshop teaches the basics in Stained Glass. No previous glass experience is needed. During the workshop, students will complete a small project using glass they select from a variety of colors and textures. Different patterns are available to choose from. Students will learn how to handle glass, cut and grind glass, apply copper foil, and solder pieces together. Glass is included in the class price and all tools are supplied.
