The exhibition "Toying with Design" explores how play can inspire designers and architects to create toy-like, functional everyday objects. It will be on view in conjunction with San Diego Design Week 2022 and plays on the theme of this year’s Design Week, Design=Inspiration/Inspiración, encouraging viewers to consider what influences their work and how their work motivates others, giving rise to new ideas. This exhibition is co-curated by Patricia Cué, Creative Director at Mingei International Museum, and Susan Merritt, Professor Emerita of the School of Art and Design at San Diego State University. We are starting a new BSA Female Troop 355 in Spring Valley. We are having our initial Info / Join Night on Tuesday, March 28 @ 7 p.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church, 10245 Loma Rancho Drive, Spring Valley, California 91978. This evening is designed for the prospective female youth & Webelos Cub Scouts of Spring Valley to have a night packed with fun activities for the youth, an opportunity for the girls to ask questions of active Scouts, and see what awaits them in the program. This will be while we give an overview of what to expect for the year and answer questions for the parents.

In 2010, Watts released his debut comedy special, Why Shit So Crazy? on Comedy Central Records, and is now available to stream on Netflix. Why Shit So Crazy? featured Watts in live performances at New York venues such as Galapagos, The Bellhouse, and Le Poisson Rouge, bookended with brief sketches and music videos. Later that year, at the invitation of Jack White, Watts recorded Reggie Watts: Live at Third Man Records which was released in limited edition vinyl. In 2012, Watts recorded his second comedy special, Reggie Watts: A Live At Central Park, which was released by Comedy Central. Watts was born in Germany, raised in Montana, and currently resides in Los Angeles. About Jackie Mendoza: Born and raised in the border city of Chula Vista, California, producer and musician Jackie Mendoza has found inspiration from her motherland of Tijuana, Mexico to create intimate and ecstatic electronic pop with Latin-driven beats and vibrant soundscapes. Jumping between English and Spanish, she creates melodies that captivate the listener’s imagination with story-telling through sound design and narrative songwriting. Jackie uses voice and electric ukulele on a blend of electronic beats to bring to life a cacophony of sonic textures. SeaWorld is helping design a massive, industrial-scale finfish farm that is currently under review to come to the coast of San Diego. This practice of industrial fish farming is bad for a multitude of reasons: it pollutes our waters, creates toxic algae blooms, spreads sea lice, entangles marine mammals, and puts fishermen out of business. Despite an outcry of opposition from local fishermen and conservation groups, SeaWorld is continuing to support this development: we're telling them to stop their support and forget the fish farm!
