  • Sparks Gallery is proud to present United Fantasy, a captivating new series by Alexander Arshansky. Known for his vibrant use of color and intricate, fluid lines, Arshansky invites viewers on a mesmerizing journey through forms that evoke the essence of living organisms—plants, landscapes, body parts, and organic structures. His works blur the boundary between imagination and reality, drawing the viewer into a dreamlike world where exploration feels infinite. While the complexity of his compositions may disorient at times, each piece is anchored by an element that gently pulls you back to the tangible. Join us at the opening reception on January 19th to celebrate this stunning exhibition and experience the evocative power of Arshansky’s artistry. Admission is free, and the artist will be present. United Fantasy will run from January 3 – March 2, 2025. • In this month-long series, kids learn a wide variety of traditional crafts from professional artist-educators. Creating with one’s hands and imagination with thoughtful and engaging crafts allows your child to express themselves in a creative way. They’ll build fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and grow an understanding of a variety of materials from textiles and clay to wood. This nurturing learning environment makes space for each child to develop their own unique artistic style. Projects encourage problem solving through imaginative and innovative ways, using foundations in the craft realm: wood, fiber, clay, paper, found objects, and glass. Young students will make beautiful pieces to take home over the course of the series. The variety of mediums teach dexterity using safe materials. Each project encourages craftsmanship, follow-through, and material exploration. Art projects are switched up monthly, so repeat students are welcome and encouraged! Drop-ins are welcome! Is your child curious about taking this class? Choose ‘Drop In Date’ from the drop-down menu (please purchase 48 hours in advance so we can have supplies ready) and tell us which date you’re child will come in the Notes section at checkout. This class meets weekly, 4 times each month Ages 6-12 welcome! For more information visit: sandiegocraft.org Stay Connected on Facebook and Instagram
