She has also worked on the CBS series "Hawaii Five-0" (2010), the FX series "Sons of Anarchy" (2008) and as a series regular on "Orange Is the New Black" (2013). Her feature credits include "Love Ranch" (2010), "Cold Mountain" (2003), "A Lot Like Love" (2005), "White Oleander" (2002), and "Crossroads" (2002). In addition to acting, Manning is also a fashion designer, singer-songwriter, and the vocalist for electronic duo Boomkat. Hailed by Rolling Stone as “a genre unto herself,” Kaki has released 9 albums and toured extensively, presenting in such prestigious arts centers as the Kennedy Center, MoMA, LACMA, The Met and Smithsonian Design Museum. This class is ongoing and builds upon itself. Students can join at any time, and classes can be taken non-consecutively. Open to all skill levels. Some of the topics covered: • choosing the appropriate tools for the project • how to correctly and safely use the gouges and knives • the process of creating and transferring your design to wood • how to navigate grain direction We will supply materials and carving tools, but if you have your own, please bring them.
