Presented over four nights by TERI Players, this stage production invites audiences into a vivid re-imagining of Alice’s descent into Wonderland. The story centers on imaginative young Alice, portrayed by Reese Merrill, whose day-to-day life with her practical sister Lorina (played by Sierra McCarthy) and her eccentric Uncle Lewis Carroll (brought to life by Kyle Ingraham) takes a surreal turn. As Uncle Carroll reads from his fantastical manuscript, Alice drifts into a fevered dream and crosses the threshold into Wonderland. There she chases the frantic White Rabbit, portrayed by Cameron Morning, and encounters an assortment of eccentric denizens: the contemplative Caterpillar (played by Timothy Sangster), the sly Cheshire Cat (performed by Ambier Harvey), the unpredictable Mad Hatter (portrayed by Jake Bowers), and a troupe of dancing flowers. Alice’s surreal journey builds toward a climactic appearance before the volatile Queen of Hearts, embodied by Tessara McAfee, where nonsensical rules, rising stakes, and Wonderland’s signature chaos threaten to overwhelm her. Blending whimsy, eccentricity, and dream logic, this four-night event offers audiences an imaginative, immersive adventure through one of literature’s most iconic fantasy worlds. Frontwave Credit Union and the Frontwave Foundation will host Pawpalooza, a free community pet adoption festival, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Frontwave Credit Union, 1278 Rocky Point Drive in Oceanside. The event will bring together local animal rescue organizations, food trucks, vendors, and pet lovers for a lively day focused on helping pets find loving forever homes. Designed as a family-friendly community event, Pawpalooza will feature adoptable dogs, cats, and rabbits, along with giveaways, games, a pet-themed mini market, and appearances by the mascots from the San Diego Sockers and San Diego Clippers. Guests will also be able to enjoy food and drinks from local food trucks throughout the event. To help encourage adoptions, Frontwave Credit Union will contribute $100 toward each adoption fee for families who adopt a pet during the event. “Pawpalooza is a wonderful way to bring the community together around a shared cause while helping deserving animals find safe, loving homes,” said Todd Kern, Chief Experience Officer. “We are proud to support the rescue organizations doing this important work every day and to create an event that is both meaningful and fun for local families.” Participating rescue partners include Labs and More Rescue, Tiny Kitten Coven, Furballs Furever Rescue, Amazing Strays Rescue, San Diego House Rabbit Society, Sunrise Rescue, Passion for Pitties Rescue, Homebound Hounds, and SPOT Saving Pets One at a Time. Pawpalooza also will highlight local businesses and community partners through its Pet Mini Market and vendor area. According to Frontwave Foundation, the event is part of Frontwave’s Give360 initiative, which supports local causes, community connection, and neighborhood impact. The event is free and open to the public, and Frontwave notes that community members do not need to be credit union members to attend. This stacked lineup brings together nationally touring comics and rising talent for an evening of smart, high-energy comedy. Headlining the show is James P. Connolly, whose comedy has been featured on America’s Got Talent, Comedy Central, and HBO, and in the Netflix series "Larry Charles: Dangerous World of Comedy." A Harvard graduate and former Marine Corps officer who once wrote jokes for a Colonel during Desert Storm, Connolly delivers sharp, intelligent humor that has also earned him a place on the daily rotation of SiriusXM Comedy Channels. The feature set comes from Noah Copfer, a fast-rising comic who has released a stand-up special with Don’t Tell Comedy and produced a full-length hour special on YouTube. Touring across the country and opening for top comics, Copfer recently appeared alongside Larry David in the newest season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Opening the night is San Diego’s own Raaghav Thatte, known for his infectious energy, quick wit, and spot-on impressions. The Kids Theatre Network returns to The Bornemann with a vibrant staging of "CATS - Young Actors Edition." Set in a larger-than-life junkyard, the show bursts to life with iconic Jellicle felines including Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, Macavity, Jennyanydots, Old Deuteronomy, Skimbleshanks, and Grizabella. On the night of the Jellicle Ball, each cat shares their story for the amusement of wise Old Deuteronomy, who will choose one to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a new Jellicle life.
