  • The course, led by Duke Windsor, will focus on a simple approach to foundation drawing and cover various projects, including working with geometric shapes, still life, and local sketching. Students will learn how to apply their newfound skills to school projects and create art pieces for shows and competitions. Drawing I will delve into line drawing, contour drawing, and the basics of portraiture, with all students completing finished works suitable for framing and exhibition by the end of the course. Participants in the workshop will have the opportunity to develop better observational skills, improve hand-eye coordination, work with short and long poses, experiment with mark-making using charcoal, explore lines, shapes, and values, and learn to draw in a loose and expressive manner.
