In "Fire Through Dry Grass," these young, Black and brown disabled artists document their lives on lockdown during Covid, their rhymes underscoring the danger and imprisonment they feel. In the face of institutional neglect, they refuse to be abused, confined, and erased.

Join artist Lydia Kardos as she leads this outdoor workshop decorating and glazing pottery bowls. She’ll show you how to get lovely colors and teach creative techniques for customizing your bowl. The bowls we prepare for you to glaze are made from high quality, mid-fire clay, which is food-safe and will last for years and years. Fun for all ages and skill levels. Projects will be ready for pick up 1 – 2 weeks after the class. All ages welcome!   • Nature Scene is a program presented on the Mandeville Art Gallery’s exterior screen featuring work by digital artists that have been commissioned or specifically adapted for the space. The works use artificial intelligence, generative algorithms, 3D scanning, and more to depict the influence of technological evolution on the staging and mediation of the natural world. It is on view daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., July 1st through October 2nd.
