In this 2-day intensive series, each student will create their own stool from beech wood while learning the basics of woodworking, furniture design and traditional weaving techniques using Danish cord. While getting familiar with the tools in the woodshop during this course, students will learn mortise and tenon joinery basics, cutting joinery, shaping and finishing wood, how to cut tapered legs on the tablesaw, and of course– how to weave that beautiful seat with Danish cord! Methods we use in this class are different from our other woodworking classes, so this series will give you even more knowledge! • All levels are welcome; ages 18 and up. Must be able to attend all 4 classes.
