  • This class meets weekly on Mondays, 3-4 times each month, from 4 – 5:30 p.m. Ages 13+ welcome! Instructor-artist Lydia Kardos teaches this introductory ceramic handbuilding course for Teens. This month-long series is full of hands-on, hand building techniques in clay. Students will create functional and non-functional ceramic art. They’ll learn how to create with coils, slab construction and clay pinching methods. See the beauty of the final results as your pieces come out of the kiln. Students will create multiple pieces and learn how to glaze finished artwork. All materials included. Projects are changed regularly, so students can return month after month to continue to develop their skills! Drop-ins are welcome! Is your teen curious about taking this class? Choose ‘Drop-in Date’ from the drop-down menu (please purchase 48 hours in advance, so we can have supplies ready). We welcome drop-in students at the first class of each month-long series. The artist will be in attendance. Widely recognized for his iconic hieroglyphic script, large-scale public works, and influential presence in both the contemporary art world and street culture, RETNA now turns his focus inward—offering a rare and personal meditation on love, loss, and healing. In "CARTA DE AMOR," the artist explores the many forms of love and the redemptive power of connection. The exhibition will feature new large-scale canvases, mixed-media works, and site-specific installations that reflect RETNA's more authentic shift in artistic intention and tone.
