About Christina McFaul: “Having grown up on a lake nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains of California, I found my sanctuary amidst the rolling hills of oaks and Malibu Creek State Park. This profound connection with the wild instilled in me a deep respect for our environment and a desire to protect it. My photography is an extension of this passion, capturing the raw essence of nature and highlighting the urgent need for conservation. Through my lens, I want to inspire others to see the beauty of our natural world and understand our critical role in preserving it." Stay Connected on Social Media! Facebook | Instagram | X

  • Port of Entry, KPBS’ cross-border podcast, tells stories that question what it means to belong to a region that exists at the edge of distinct cultures and languages. KPBS has created a space in the airwaves where those cross border stories can resonate. Now we want to jump from the airwaves into a live production and you are invited. We are opening our doors and inviting you to the KPBS studio for a behind-the-scenes look at Port of Entry. Join us September 22 and see our podcast creation first-hand and meet the team. The excitement doesn't stop there — you'll also participate in the crafting of an actual episode during a live interview session with the incredibly talented graphic artist Charles Glaubitz, and actor and screenwriter Giancarlo Ruiz. Plus, you'll enjoy an exclusive tour of the newly renovated KPBS building and light refreshments. Hope to see you there! This event is part of World Design Experience powered by San Diego Design Week. Port of Entry is made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

  • Join me in celebrating my life's vocations, avocations, and the passion I have had for all of them. When I was a kid you would always find me outside enjoying nature. I was a sailor and loved the sea, eventually this passion took me on the path to get my Captian's license. In my creative life, I have worked to capture the sea and sailing…the sea is where my heart belongs. Later in life I was drawn to Golf and joined the LPGA, I played, taught, and eventually became the head instructor for the LPGA's Certification and International Teaching Program (where I teach teachers to teach). This solo show is a retrospective of my life, from sailing, the sea and the ocean, and golf’s splendid courses. This passion has fueled me, and will be with me for life! So with brush, palette knife, and paint in hand I depict these moments in time… I hope my paintings give you a sense of the feelings, movement, and joy that I have for this life.
