  • In this 4-week ceramic hand-building series, students will create functional and nonfunctional ceramic work using a variety of techniques and their imaginations. They will learn how to create with coils, slab construction and clay pinching methods. Students are so proud when they see the beauty of the final results as their pieces come out of the kiln. Students will create multiple pieces in this series, and learn how to glaze bisque ware for a finished piece of artwork. All materials included. Projects are changed regularly, so students can return month after month to continue to develop their skills! Drop-ins are welcome! Is your child curious about ceramics & taking this class?   • 'Distorted Thoughts' is a solo exhibition by Muse, exploring the human psyche and its intricacies in an attempt to understand and accept ourselves and ultimately, humanity. Muse communicates through various mediums such as photography, embroidery, performance art, interactive installation, and clothing. This body of work explores the human psyche through the use of symbolism in fashion, photography, and performance art. It aims to guide and invite the viewer to delve into their own emotional state. In doing so, the viewer is able to confront the spectrum of self. About the artist Muse is a Mexican American multidisciplinary artist who specializes in fashion and storytelling. The sewing machine is Muse’s paintbrush, and clothing is her canvas. With an extensive background in both subconscious and conscious exploration, as well as intensive philosophical and psychological study, Muse has developed a method to invoke visceral truly unique and powerful artistic vision. Through her work, Muse creates a transformative space that encourages the viewer to explore their inner worlds and embark on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance.
