  • In this 4-week ceramic hand-building series, students will create functional and nonfunctional ceramic work using a variety of techniques and their imaginations. They will learn how to create with coils, slab construction and clay pinching methods. Students are so proud when they see the beauty of the final results as their pieces come out of the kiln. Students will create multiple pieces in this series, and learn how to glaze bisque ware for a finished piece of artwork. All materials included. Projects are changed regularly, so students can return month after month to continue to develop their skills! Drop-ins are welcome! Is your child curious about ceramics & taking this class? Choose ‘Drop In Date’ from the drop-down menu (please purchase 48 hours in advance so we can have supplies ready) and tell us which date your child will come in the ‘Notes’ section at checkout.   • A day of spring will be celebrated at Diane Powers’ Bazaar del Mundo shops in Old Town with a tribute to beloved artist, Laurel Burch, and a curated selection of jewelry, fashion and décor at the free “Spring Pop-up, Curated by Bazaar del Mundo,” Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Bazaar del Mundo Shop courtyard. Laurel Burch’s unique images and designs became wildly popular in the '60s with her vividly colored feline images. While she passed away in 2007, her longtime fans continue to flock to the Bazaar del Mundo Shops which still feature her whimsical designs.
