When you join a Club, you will be able to learn from fun and simple online coding tutorials, build community through interactive activities, and learn about inspiring role models. You then work in teams to design and build a Girls Who Code Project that solves real world problems you care about through code! Access to a laptop computer is essential for this series.   • 5 Saturdays: November 12, 19, December 3, 10 & 17 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. No experience necessary. Ages 13+ welcome! Instructor Melissa Ordway will teach the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel. Wheel throwing is a fun process that allows you to make mugs, cups, bowls, and lots of utilitarian objects. Whether you are new to throwing on the wheel or have some experience, you’ll enjoy this class. 5 weeks gives you even more time to practice centering the clay and raising those walls! This class will use mid-fire clay, so after being fired, your work will last for years and years. We will focus on wedging, centering, throwing, trimming and glazing. Transforming PetSpace into a spooky haunt for critters of all sizes, the day will include a larger-than-life hay maze, pup-kin patch, dog trick-or-treat trail, crafts, haunted photo ops, and more! Snack on some kettle corn, sip hot cider, and enjoy fall activities that everyone, including your four-legged friends, will love. Make sure to enchant the crowd in your Halloween costume, with bonus points for pet-human couples costumes. For the comfort and safety of our attendees, both human and four-legged: Please do not wear Halloween masks that cover your full face Please only wear family-friendly, appropriate costumes Please do not bring any weapons real/fake to the event If you plan to bring your dog, each pet parent must complete a waiver before entering the event.
