What is the Co-op’s annual meeting? Each year we gather the community together to talk about the state of the Co-op, reflect on ups and downs of the past year, and look forward toward the future together. It’s an important moment to gather and connect over the shared mission, vision and values of this community-owned business. Everyone is welcome! What can you expect from this event? Food & Freebies: Attendees will enjoy snacks from our deli and produce department, refreshing beverages, and some special giveaways, too. Community Connection & Donations: Connect with local community organizations and bring/buy food donations to support our community partners: Feeding San Diego, San Diego Gov's Environmental Services Department, SD River Park Foundation, La Playa Book, and Cans 4 Books. Speeches: Hear about the financial health and impact of the co-op from our Board President, General Manager and Operations Managers, and learn about the future of organic farming in San Diego from our new scholarship partner CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers). Keynote speech from Thaddues Barsotti, Co-Founder Farm Fresh To You and Co-Owner of Capay Organic. Kids Corner: We’ll also have a booth at the event with facepainting, glitter tattoos and other fun activities for kids! This event is free!
