Mission Valley invites the community to experience “Something Wicked” – a family-friendly celebration of the highly anticipated premiere of “Wicked: For Good!” taking place Friday, November 21, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the AMC Court. Guests can enjoy photo moments with Elphaba and Glinda and a live performance by Trinity Theatre Company, then stop by the Trinity Theatre booth to meet the talented cast and learn about upcoming shows. Music by DJ Sass and whimsical entertainment from the Bubble Pirate will keep the fun going throughout the event. The first 100 guests can create free pink and green slime at Slime Kitchen, with additional themed slime available for purchase. Visitors can stop by the Princess Project booth to support local teens through dress donations and volunteer opportunities, helping provide prom dresses and accessories to those who might not otherwise have them. They can also try their luck at the Plinko board for a chance to win “Wicked”-themed prizes from retailers. It’s a magical evening of creativity, music and community connection. As part of the celebration, Mission Valley encourages guests to share the warmth by donating new or gently worn coats to the ongoing One Warm Coat drive, benefiting local families in need this season. The Something Wicked event is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required.

Get ready to flow into the "Depth of Field" that is deep autumn with poetry, string music, local artisans, and Good Neighbor Gardens! On Sunday afternoon, November 16, Poet Tree Productions presents "Depth of Field", a matinee of live music, poetry, and artisans to reset your default. With poets Allisa Cherry, Majda Gama, & Heidi Seaborn, musicians Rebecca Matayoshi & Evan Pasternak, and artisans Beth Peters, Josh Bariuan of Fir Street Pottery, Carla Wilson Studio & Laura Christensen Studio. In honor of a month of gratitude, we're also hosting Good Neighbor Gardens to share what they're nurturing in gardens, education, food boxes, and sharing abundance with those in need. Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center is inviting the community to come kick off the holiday season and shop local vendors at the Annual Holiday Bazaar. The Holiday Bazaar will take place on Saturday, November 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Olivewood Gardens and will feature more than 40 local vendors and Kitchenista entrepreneurs, and food for purchase prepared by our High School Culinary Program Interns. The free community event is an opportunity to discover handmade goods, holiday gifts, and treats. All proceeds will support the growth of locally owned small businesses. A variety of unique, locally made products will be available for purchase, including handmade scented soaps, candles, salsa macha, local honey, sourdough bread, tamales, jewelry, handbags, knitted wear, and much more. Kitchenista entrepreneurs will be selling artisanal breads, handcrafted jewelry, and Mexican artisan goods. A variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs, and ornamentals will be available for purchase to support Olivewood’s programs. Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center promotes health equity, food access, and community building.
