  • “A Big Band for the World.”—Wall Street Journal Red Baraat is a pioneering band from Brooklyn, New York. Conceived by dhol player Sunny Jain, the group has drawn worldwide praise for its singular sound, a merging of hard driving North Indian bhangra with elements of hip-hop, jazz and raw punk energy. Created with no less a purposeful agenda than manifesting joy and unity in all people, Red Baraat’s spirit is worn brightly on its sweaty and hard-worked sleeve. Reemerging in 2021 with a renewed focus, energy and sound, Red Baraat headlined the Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center with master percussionist, Zakir Hussain, performed at the Dubai World Expo, and toured its 10th annual Red Baraat Festival of Colors. Delight in the culinary mastery of Jonathan Zaragoza (of Chicago’s famed Birrieria Zaragoza and El Oso) and Frida Lucia (of Tijuana’s Aruba Day Drink, a top 50 best bars in the world), promising an extraordinary fusion of power and creativity. Join us for an evening dedicated to culinary excellence and innovation, where every bite is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of both chef and mixologist. Raised on Chicago's Southside, Chef Jonathan Zaragoza, inspired by his family's strong cooking roots, began learning the art of making birria at the age of 12, later opening Birrieria Zaragoza in 2007, and with a culinary journey spanning from Michelin-starred establishments to his own restaurants, he continues to showcase his Mexican heritage and traditions internationally while managing Birrieria Zaragoza and El Oso. Frida Lucia is currently showcasing her mixology skills at Aruba Day Drink in Tijuana, Baja California. The bar achieved a remarkable feat, securing the 40th spot among the best bars in North America in 2023. With Frida Lucia's expertise and Aruba Day Drink's esteemed reputation, patrons can anticipate an extraordinary and memorable drinking experience from this renowned establishment.
