A boundaries edge is the limit, the upper or external restriction or the end of the line. In today's rapidly evolving art world, a fascinating fusion of traditional methods have emerged. With this exhibition, we embark on a visual journey celebrating the intersection between art and form. By reducing subject matter to its essentials, the artist in the exhibition elicit a wide range of responses to what is landscape. One of the fascinating things about landscape is its openness to interpretation. Rather than dictating a single narrative, landscape allows the viewer to engage in a personal dialogue with the work, projecting their feeling and experiences onto the canvas. Expressing emotion through landscape serves as a visual language to convey thought beyond words. Through the interplay of color, texture and shape, each artists conveys a range of emotions, from joy and serenity to chaos and introspection. The expressive power of landscape lies in its ability to evoke visceral responses in tune with the viewer's own emotional awareness. Landscape has an inarguable appeal that transcends the boundaries of traditional representation. It's capability to provoke feelings, spark imagination, and foster particular interpretation allows us to embrace the beauty, complexity, and transformative power. Bread & Salt and curator/artist Jason Sherry come together to present an experimental Halloween art experience of multiple installations only on Friday, October 27th, and Saturday, October 28 from 5 PM - 9 PM. This group show of over 20 artists will feature light, sound, and sculptural installations that run the gamut of Halloween lore. Scenes and performances will take audiences from the horrifying to the campy. Each experience will be set together in the old brick room of the Bread and Salt galleries and laid out in a haunted house-styled maze. From nightmares of the natural world to the horrors of technology – this project will evolve throughout the night and offer audiences a taste of fear and satire as told by the experimental artist community of San Diego. Donations are accepted for entry. Farm to Table(aux) is a beautiful, creative event featuring farm-to-table food; live, interactive art; and artisanal cocktails. Mingle and watch artists work on their paintings during a cocktail soiree, then move inside for a 3-course dinner featuring fresh, locally-sourced food and boutique wines. Enjoy live entertainment, including music and inspiring speeches from local youth. This event benefits Reality Changers, a nonprofit organization which prepares youth to become first-generation college graduates and agents of change in their communities.
