The military is investigating the crash of a San Diego-based Marine F/A-18C Hornet in Nevada on September 1st. According to the Navy, the pilot ejected safely and was later treated and released at a Fallon, Nevada hospital. Both the pilot and the aircraft are assigned to the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 323, based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
