Kaiser Permanente and the unions representing thousands of health care workers have reached a tentative deal that could end the labor dispute that resulted in a three-day strike last week.

The city's Environmental Services Department has distributed 213,000 green bins since Jan. 11, along with 281,000 kitchen pails with more than 53,000 tons of organic waste collected to date.

A return of onshore flow and a coastal eddy could deepen the marine layer with coastal low clouds spreading into portions of the inland valleys early Friday and across most of the valleys for early Saturday, the NWS said.
