The woman who accused former Supervisor Nathan Fletcher of sexual assault has alleged that her ex-employer, MTS, offered her $10,000 to not pursue claims.

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a policy Wednesday that would let developers self-certify projects in open space between existing structures as a way to speed up housing construction.

The land includes a sacred site known locally as Gregory Mountain or as Chokla in Luiseño. A 20-year fight to build a landfill at its foot in Gregory Canyon was stopped in 2016 when the Pala Band of Mission Indians purchased a portion of the site for $13 million.

The proposal was introduced Tuesday in the form of an amended ordinance as part of a required first reading.

Board Chair Nora Vargas and Vice Chair Terra Lawson-Remer voted in favor of the study, while Supervisors Joel Anderson and Jim Desmond were opposed.

Caltrans crews closed all northbound lanes of State Route 67 in the Lakeside/Ramona area Tuesday for an emergency sinkhole repair.
