The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Monday for the 27th consecutive day, increasing 1.1 cents to a record $5.922, one day after rising 2.3 cents.

The San Diego County District Attorney's Office announced a strategy Monday to prevent the homeless from being involved with crime, following the release of data showing homeless people in the county were more likely to be both crime victims and perpetrators.

Residents in the 80th Assembly District can still register to vote for the April 5 Special Primary Election through Monday to receive a ballot in the mail.

Friday's data increased the county's cumulative number of cases to 747,174. No new deaths were reported Friday and that number remains 5,138.
