Pat Finn
ProducerPat Finn previously served as a producer for KPBS Midday Edition and KPBS Evening Edition. Finn began her career in broadcasting at KTLA and KCET in Los Angeles. In 1979 she became KPBS’ Public Information Director, then Director of Advertising and Promotion, Program Director, and Director of Broadcasting. She oversaw the station’s local and national productions, including the one-hour documentary Los Romeros: The Royal Family of the Guitar, and Child Protective Services, a one-hour look inside the San Diego County agency responsible for the welfare of at risk children. Both programs also aired on public television stations nationwide. Finn has earned honors from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Morris Casuto retired this month after 37 years with the San Diego chapter of the Anti-Defamation League. As the long-time head of the ADL's San Diego office, Casuto has fought anti-Semitism, racism and prejudice, and now bullying. He has been the target of threats and grafitti, worn a bullet-proof vest and had police protection at his home.

The Imperial Beach City Council race features the son of a current Congressman and debates over revenue.

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors started hearings on Wednesday on an update of its General Plan. The plan features new growth curbs and policies for the unincorporated areas of the county, including zoning and density policies. The last time the General Plan was updated for rural areas was 30 years ago. The issues raised by the plan are so controversial that the vote was tabled until November.
