While travelers cope with real issues of airline safety, and what they can and cannot bring on a plane, filmgoers are facing the outlandish threat posed by Snakes on a Plane (opening August 18 throughout San Diego). The late summer thriller stars Samuel L. Jackson. It has been stirring Internet buzz for almost a year. That buzz made the film the top draw over the weekend but didn't draw the huge numbers the studio was hoping for. KPBS film critic Beth Accomando checks in on the flight and the hype.
