Boy Scout Documents May Contain Abuse Allegations in San Diego

Audio

Secret documents in a sexual molestation lawsuit against former Northern California Boy Scout leader and Mormon Elder William Knox could reveal abuse in San Diego.

Lawyers for three brothers -- who are suing William Knox -- plan to subpoena documents from the Mormon Temple and Boy Scouts in San Diego. The lawsuit alleges that the church and the Boy Scouts knew Knox had a predilection to abuse boys in the 1970s when he lived in San Diego. Knox is accused of molesting the three brothers from 1978 to 1987.

Meanwhile, more fallout could come from another lawsuit in Oregon where a court has ordered the release of thousands of pages from Boy Scout files containing accusations of sexual abuse of young boys by scout leaders over decades. The records have been nicknamed the "perversion files."
